Bangladesh ended their journey in the Under-19 Women’s T20 World Cup with a big win against West Indies in their final Super Six match. They secured a ten-wicket victory in a game affected by rain. With this win, Bangladesh held third in Group 1, just behind India and Australia, who made it to the semi-finals. Despite not reaching the next stage, the Bangladesh team performed well from the beginning to the end of the tournament. Their final match was amazing which showed their strength, as they easily chased the target without losing any wickets. This victory was a great way for Bangladesh to finish their campaign on a high note, giving their young players confidence for future tournaments.

Nishita Akter Nishi played a key role in Bangladesh’s strong bowling performance, taking 3 wickets for just 11 runs. Her early spell with the new ball was deadly, as she removed West Indies’ top three batters within the first five overs. West Indies struggled at 16 for 3, then slipped further to 22 for 4 and 37 for 5. They could not build a big total, but Amrita Ramtahal, batting at No. 6, tried to help by scoring 16 runs off 23 balls. In the end, West Indies managed to score only 54 runs in 13 overs, giving Bangladesh an easy target to chase.

Bangladesh’s openers, Juairiya  Ferdous stayed unbeaten with 25 runs, while Fahomida Choya scored 14 not out. They achieved the target in just 8.5 overs. The West Indies bowlers also gave away 16 extra runs through wides, making it easier for Bangladesh to win.

After this loss, the West Indies finished at the bottom of the Super Six table with four losses. It was a tough result for them, while Bangladesh played well and showed their skills. South Africa, one of the Group 2 teams in the semi-finals with England, ended their Super Six matches on a bad note.

Their last game was ruined by bad weather, so they couldn’t finish the tournament the way they wanted. Even though South Africa ended their Super Six matches badly, they had already made it to the semi-finals because of their strong performances earlier. Now, they are focusing on the important knockout games ahead.

The USA’s match in Kuching was called off because of rain.

South Africa finished their Group 2 matches without losing any game. They stayed unbeaten and ended at the top of the table with seven points. They played well throughout the tournament, proving they were the best team in the group.
