The world’s biggest cricket stadium will be built in Amravati, as announced by the Andhra Cricket Association (ACA). Andhra Cricket Association announced plans to construct India’s largest cricket stadium in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh with a seating capacity exceeding 1.32 lakh, costing an estimated Rs 800 crores.
The project is part of a 200-acre sports city With the stadium covering 60 acres of land.
BCCI will provide financial assistance, with additional funding. The stadium aims to host the 2029 National Games and enhance cricket infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh.

ACA President Kesineni Sivanath announced in the media that the state government will provide 60 acres of land in Amravati to complete this project.
While addressing the media, the ACA President focused on this project and said it would be part of a larger sports city planned for 200 acres of land in Amaravati.
EYES ON NATIONAL GAMES 2029
ACA is planning to host the 2029 National Games in Amravati, aiming for a big achievement in sports.
During the media brief, Sivanath said that three cricket academies will be set up in different locations: North Coastal AP, Vijayawada, and Rayalaseema.
Former Indian cricketers Mithali Raj and Robin Singh will be appointed to train in these academies.
Amravati Cricket Stadium
The Andhra Cricket Association is starting to rebuild the Visakhapatnam stadium by using the latest facilities. Their target is to make the stadium well-equipped and up to the standards needed to host Indian Premier League (IPL) matches. It means better infrastructure, upgraded seating, improved player facility, and possibly new technology to enhance the experience for players and viewers.
Sivanath wants to support local talent players and give more chances to players from Andhra Pradesh. He trusts that in the next two years, At least 15 players from the state will be selected to play in IPL teams. This will help to boost local cricket and give young players a chance to glow on a bigger stage.
