India-Women won the first ODI against Ireland Women with a strong performance. Ireland batted first but lost early wickets, scoring only 56 runs for 4 wickets. Their captain, Gaby Lewis, and Leah Paul played well together, adding over 100 runs to help Ireland reach a decent total. However, most of their other batters couldn’t score much.

- India Captain Mandhana praised her team’s batting, and bowling, and called for improved fielding.
- Ireland Captain Gaby Lewis highlighted the positives but stressed the need for better adaptation and batting.

India started their chase confidently. Smriti Mandhana, the captain, played a good knock before getting out. After that, Pratika Rawal and Tejal Hasabnis batted wonderfully together. They had a big partnership of over 100 runs, scoring runs quickly. Pratika Rawal hit 89 runs with some beautiful shots, including a six and many boundaries. Tejal Hasabnis also played well, reaching her half-century and staying not out.
India won the match easily, with more than 15 overs left. Richa Ghosh hit the winning boundary to finish the game. Ireland’s bowler Aimee Maguire took 3 wickets, but the other bowlers couldn’t stop India’s batters.
