Fazalhaq Farooqi teased Rashid Khan in the game.
In the IPL, players from the same country sometimes play for different teams and have fun with each other. One day, Fazalhaq Farooqi, who plays for Rajasthan Royals, was joking with his friend Rashid Khan from Gujarat Titans.
Fazalhaq Farooqi teased Rashid Khan and said, “That’s not bad for someone who spins the ball like him!”
Farooqi said he hit 25 sixes in practice before his bat broke! He told Rashid that’s more than what Rashid has ever hit. Farooqi and Rashid are friends from Afghanistan but play for different teams in the IPL. They love to joke with each other!
Farooqi says, “From now on, we’ll only talk in English—no more Pashto!” Rashid laughs and gives him a big hug.
Rashid laughed and asked, “Did you break your bat or your head?” Farooqi looked at Rashid’s bat and said he didn’t want it because it was too heavy. He then teased, “It’s okay for a spinner like him!”
Farooqi also reminded Rashid about the six Azmatullah Omarzai hit off him in a match. It was a big shot that helped the Punjab Kings win.
- Farooqi has played just one match but didn’t take any wickets.
- Rashid has played four matches and taken one wicket. His team, the Gujarat Titans, is doing well—they’re second on the table!
